And so it begins...

Today we started with the Urogenital system. It consists of 4 sections.

The first part is the Pre-clinical work which is made up of the anatomy and histology of the kidneys and both the male and female genital and reproductive organs. It also includes the physiology (normal functioning) of the kidneys - urine production and water and electrolyte balance. The second part is Nephrology - a branch of internal medicine and pediatrics dealing with the study of the function and diseases of the kidney. The third part is Urology - the study of diseases that are concerned with the urinary tract and more specifically diseases that affect men only. And last is Gynaecology - the study of diseases that affect women only.

This is going to be a really long 7 weeks filled with assessments and a load of work. I'm really anxious about it, and I just pray that I can keep up this time around and do well. "Positive Outcomes Only"
